The RCIS business plays a critical role in driving growth, strengthening distributor partnerships, expanding market development initiatives, and delivering sustainable value creation across Russia and the CIS countries. The Business Unit Lead – Aesthetics and Reconstruction Russia and CIS is accountable for driving business performance, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring successful execution of Mentor’s long-term vision and strategic priorities. The role combines strategic business planning, distributor leadership, pricing governance, operational oversight, and cross-functional execution to ensure business continuity, compliance, and strong customer impact in a complex market environment. Key Responsibilities: Regularly collaborates with members of the EMEA Aesthetics & Reconstruction team to coordinate function-related activities and processes and ensure alignment with regional and global strategies and principles across the group. Develops and executes the distributor business strategy for Russia and the CIS, ensuring alignment with regional and EMEA business objectives and effective operation in a dynamic and complex market environment. Identifies, evaluates, and implements strategic growth opportunities across Russia and the CIS through market analytics, competitive insights, customer needs assessments and emerging healthcare trends. Develops and implements the commercial strategy for Russia and the CIS, including annual and semi-annual updates of business commercial policies and implementation of commercial solutions in compliance with local regulations and Company policies and procedures. Provides strategic leadership over pricing, including annual pricing reviews, price list management, value-based pricing approaches, and proactive responses to market changes, reimbursement dynamics and competitive pressures. Leads the development and execution of new product launch strategies, portfolio transitions and lifecycle management initiatives, including pricing, promotional activities, channel strategy and demand generation plans. Supports and oversees strategically important third-party events, congresses and educational programs, ensuring full compliance with Company standards. Manages distributor relationships across Russia and the CIS, ensuring achievement of business objectives through effective engagement with internal stakeholders, distributor partners, healthcare professionals and external market participants. Acts as the primary point of contact for all commercial, operational and business development matters for internal and external stakeholders. Calculates distributor discounts and rebates on a quarterly basis, unless otherwise specified, in accordance with approved Company commercial policies and procedures. Monitors accounts receivable and negotiates with distributors to ensure payment discipline. Approves distributor order adjustments in accordance with Company commercial policies. Approves Request Delivery Date orders in accordance with Company procedures. Manages partnership requests, conducts negotiations with potential counterparties, and organizes competitive selection processes in accordance with Medical Devices commercial policies. Coordinates due diligence activities for counterparties in accordance with Company procedures, including obtaining additional information from distributors where required. Leads the annual business planning process, including sales targets, market share objectives, growth initiatives, KPIs and strategic priorities, ensuring excellence in execution. Continuously evaluates distributor performance through regular business reviews and KPI monitoring and implements corrective actions and development plans as necessary. Ensures effective execution of marketing strategies, commercial programs, educational activities and customer engagement initiatives across distributor networks. Provides coaching to distributor sales and marketing teams to strengthen commercial capabilities, execution excellence, customer focus and portfolio knowledge. Participates in complex commercial negotiations, including pricing, tender market dynamics, contract terms, portfolio prioritization, inventory commitments and investment plans. Ensures distributor compliance with Company policies, local laws, quality requirements and industry standards across all markets. Organizes and oversees the work of direct reports and employees providing operational support to the Aesthetics & Reconstruction business, including objective setting, task allocation, performance reviews and development support. Oversees and manages day-to-day business operations. Collaborates closely with Logistics and Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Business Ethics, Professional Education and other functions to ensure product availability, accurate forecasting, inventory optimization, educational activities, compliance and business continuity. Critical Competencies: Higher education in Economics, International Business, Business Administration, Management, or Marketing; At least 10 years of experience in a Commercial leadership role within a business unit covering Russia and the CIS in a large international or Russian company; At least 10 years of experience in the medical devices industry or a related field; Experience in strategic business planning and strategy execution; Experience in people management; Strong negotiation and influencing skills in complex, ambiguous, and highly regulated environments; Expertise in distributor and sales channel management; Expertise in commercial excellence and pricing strategy; Understanding of market access and tender management processes; Financial acumen with a strong profit and loss (P&L) mindset; Experience in stakeholder management and customer engagement across diverse markets and cultural environments; Business transformation and change management skills; Data-driven decision-making and analytical thinking capabilities; Strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills; Specific Knowledge and Skills: Proven proficiency in English, both written and spoken, at an Advanced level or higher, including the ability to communicate effectively within the Company and work with documentation and materials; Teamwork skills; Strong analytical capabilities; Strong presentation skills; Ability to work effectively under pressure; Ability to independently make sound and well-considered decisions in situations of uncertainty by analyzing information, assessing risks and opportunities, and taking accountability for outcomes; Commitment to continuous professional development; Team leadership skills.
